Risks of Day Trading
November 3, 2006 | Leave a Comment
You know, without risk, there are no rewards. The risk of Day Trading, in my opinion isn’t as great as it is with Stocks. Day Trading foreign currencies there’s a lot more control that helps reduce the risks of day trading since we’re able to buy or sell (go Long or Short) on any currency pair, where as with Stock Trading you’re only able to buy (go Long) on a trade.
However each has their own element of risks. If you’re a beginner day trading real time trading systems and using the financial market technical analysis tools, a simple forex trading system can be devised, with, or without a forex day trading course to reduce the risks of day trading further.
There are heaps of free forex technical analysis charts you can use when applying your technical analysis skills on the forex market. Some you may need to pay a subscription fee of around $100 - $400 a month, plus any fees towards the News Feed. The best I’ve found is metaquotes.net free charts; you can even program your own real time trading systems directly onto the platform which requires some C++ knowledge.
Even with a simple forex trading system there’s risks of lack of testing, even if it’s been tested for months and proved to be profitable, there is no absolute guarantee your trades will open or close at the given time your trading system kicks in. There’s even a risk of the automated forex trading system to open more trades than it should that will result in excessive use of margin and this will end up blowing up your account.
When applying financial market technical analysis for fundamental news releases are probably one of many fears Day Traders have trading. This is one of the most volatile times where you can expect huge market moves from 80 - 200 pips within minutes. Most will simply wait until it’s over and find openings when things have settled down. However I’ve come to know quite a few people that make hundreds of thousands per month just trading the fundamental side of the forex market.
To eliminate the risks of day trading, it may be wise to take a forex day trading course, look for ones that have around 30 days in duration and cost about $1000 - $2000. Don’t pay any more than this or forex day trading courses that are fewer than 30 days. Choosing a forex day trading course needs to be done carefully, there’s a lot of terrible services out there. Do your research first before attempting to enroll yourself into a course.
